st Sir Stanley Matthews, CBE (1 February 1915 – 23 February 2000)

Weighed all the calves at home for the Signet programme. Saw a very good 30 minutes then our defence !!!! let a lamp post score 4 goals.

nd Newhouse's brought a load of straw. Went up to Malham to bring the steers home but we decided when we got there it there was to much snow to get out with the trailer loaded. So we brought all the steers from Wenningber and weighed them. Took some mollasses buckets up to Highside and Rye Loaf and found a calf running around perfectly healthy, to a non pedigree cow.

rd Went and got the cow and calf from Rye Loaf. Fixed a broken ring feeder and put it in the square meadow for the 2 cows with young calves.

th R Lund from Hawes brought 2 calves that I have bought off him. Stapleton's came to spread the FYM that seems to be over flowing at home and at Wenningber. J Thwaite came and replaced 2 broken roof sheets on the silo building. Took some mollasses buckets on to Langcliffe scars before the snow arrived with a vengance.

th Had to go up to Malham to remove a length a wire fence that had got wrapped round it front leg. The heifer just stood very quietly while I cut and unravelled the wire thankfully it hadn't cut in to its leg so it should be fine.
